#1. CARPE DIEM CAFE
Okay. So delicious food clearly extends outside of the Downtown Peterborough core. Joanne took me out for lunch last week to celebrate my last day at work, and she took me to a place in East City called
CARPE DIEM CAFE.

(CHECK THEM OUT: http://www.carpediemcafe.net/)

The food was DELICIOUS! I couldn't take other photos, mainly because I was stuffing my face. Here's a quick picture of the soup I had- came in such a cute little bowl! The overall ambience and decor of the place impressed me with the home-y-ness and eclectic nature! The adorable puppy that this family-business owned just won me over.
#2. ASHBURNHAM ALE HOUSE
Another East City visit! We went here for our first dinner during Senior Don training, and it was DELICIOUS! I got The Basa (I believe...), a Vietnamese catfish wrap, which was a bit on the spicy side with the heavy pepper, but definitely would recommend it! Only downside was the slow service, but aside from that, it was a cute atmosphere place - clean, open space, modern-rustic feel to it.

I personally wouldn't count these as part of the bucket list, but moreso 'bonuses' to these eating adventures!

Cheers,
Jess.
